Detailed description of Hidden Creek Golf Club

Hidden Creek Golf Club is a Public, 18 hole golf course located in Burleson, Texas.

Hidden Creek Golf Club first opened for play in 1997. The course was designed by Steve Plumber.

This is a combination links-style hilly course some tight tree-lined fairways. Two holes have split fairways giving players the option of a shorter, more difficult route or the longer, but safer route. Sand bunkers are located strategically in the landing areas and around the greens.

The greens are large and undulating. They provide generous targets for the high handicapper while offering a multitude of pin placements challenging even for the touring professional.

Water comes into play on seven holes and doglegs are on eight holes.

The signature hole is #7, a 448-yard par-4 that requires a 220-yard tee shot over a creek to a narrow landing area, then a second shot down a tight, tree-lined dogleg left fairway to a well protected two-tiered green.

Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,024 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 5,272 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 17, a par-5 that plays to 571 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 15, a par-3 that plays to 141 yards from the back tees.

A real challenge--narrow fairways, many lateral hazards, quick greens. If you like a challenge, it is a good course. If you like to hit it into the next fairway, forget about it!

Would travel: 30-60 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Bargain priced based on quality and competitive area pricing

This is a good course, pretty fair with water and sand bunkers. The day we played the bunkers were a little rained out and tough to play out of.

Incredible value for the price. Fair but, tough. Moderately hard, fast greens. Water comes into play on many holes. Split fairways on several. Long par 5 (571 yards) into the wind on the front.
